JOB OVERVIEW

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Paralegal to join our legal team. The successful candidate will work under supervision and play a crucial role in supporting our lawyers by preparing legal documents and ensuring that all necessary information is organised and accessible. This position requires, strong communication skills, excellent time management, good IT skills and general proficiency in various Microsoft Office applications.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Proven experience as a Paralegal or in a similar role within a legal environment is preferred.
  • Strong communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Strong IT skills with the ability to adapt to new software as required.
  • Effective time management abilities to meet deadlines consistently.

Responsibilities
  • Gather relevant information to support claim preparation on our claims management system(s).
  • Draft, review, and edit legal documents ( wills and lasting powers of attorney),
  • Maintain organised files and records for ongoing claims to ensure easy access to information.
  • Assist lawyers in preparing claims by compiling evidence and exhibits.
  • Communicate effectively with clients and lenders.
  • Manage schedules and appointments using Microsoft Outlook to ensure efficient time management.
  • Utilise Microsoft Excel for submitting claims, tracking, progress and deadlines.
  • Collaborate with the legal team to ensure all tasks are completed in a timely manner.
  • Occasional out of office duties.
