ABOUT US:
This is an exciting opportunity to join the Payload Specialist Engineering team responsible for the payload architecture/definition, cost, research and development and roadmaps for Airbus Telecommunications Payloads. Focusing on the advance work needed to support future contracts you will have the opportunity to be involved in multiple aspects from technical data management, equipment definition, payload architecture and latest telecom technologies. You will also work closely with other engineering teams and may support on-going projects.

Responsibilities:
You will support the day to day business of payload engineering providing an opportunity to learn about all the different types of telecommunications payloads. This will also include:
- Cost models and schedule - how we prepare bids to win new satellite contracts;
- Payload key RF performance parameters / DC power and mass constraints;
- Major elements of the payload - antenna, digital processor, software, other RF equipment;
- How we work with external suppliers, supporting current project needs;
- Help with technical data management such as reviewing test results/specification/documentation;
- Gaining an appreciation of the overall payload design.
The tasks will be varied and require you to use different skills (technical, data management, communication etc.) in order to complete them successfully.
