Description:

We are currently in need of a Payroll Clerk in Moraine, Ohio. This role offers a short term contract employment opportunity, where you will be primarily responsible for handling payroll data entry, account reconciliation, and MS Excel spreadsheet work within a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Accurately and efficiently process payroll data entries
  • Conduct account reconciliation tasks to ensure accurate reporting and ledger maintenance
  • Manage and update MS Excel spreadsheets for payroll records
  • Monitor and resolve payroll discrepancies and irregularities
  • Maintain accurate documentation of payroll transactions
  • Execute payroll-related tasks, such as issuing paychecks and managing direct deposits
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll, wage, and hour laws and best practices
  • Collaborate with the accounting team to maintain accurate financial reporting
  • Provide assistance in the construction payroll operations when necessary
  • Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll issues or concerns.

  • Candidate must have at least 1 year of experience working as a Payroll Clerk or in a similar role.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel is required.
  • Skills in Account Reconciliation are essential.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong numerical aptitude and data entry skills.
  • Ability to handle confidential information.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of payroll policies, procedures, and regulations.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Must be able to meet deadlines and handle multiple tasks.
  • Knowledge of general accounting principles and payroll tax laws is preferred.
  • Experience with payroll software would be beneficial.
