Description:

US Logistics is looking to hire a Payroll/HR Coordinator works directly with the Payroll Manager to ensure that all human resource processes and payroll functions for the organization. The Payroll/HR Coordinator will ensure the collection of all necessary information and documents, compute wages, and investigates and resolves all payroll issues and discrepancies. The Payroll/HR Coordinator maintains compliance with company policies and federal, state, and local laws.

Qualifications:

  • Strong Microsoft Office Skills
  • Excel experience is a MUST, including creating/running reports from scratch, custom reports, able to manipulate payroll reports (pivot tables, v-lookups, etc.).
  • Knowledge of wage withholding orders
  • Accurate data entry skills with great attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to communicate with employees regarding their issues and concerns
  • Being an effective team player
  • Sound decision-making skills
  • Ability to multitask in a stressful environment with specific deadlines
  • Ability to work independently in a time-sensitive environment
  • Confidentiality and respect for the privacy of employee records
  • Must have 2 to 4 years of ADP Workforce Now and current corporate payroll processing experience; candidate will have experience within a medium to large size company with multi-state locations and high-volume processing
  • Must be able to run reports and assist in any finance related audit request.

Responsibilities

  • Process weekly, multi-state payroll for 1600+ employees, using ADP WFN
  • Maintain the vacation accrual and liability reports on a weekly basis
  • Process stop payment requests and garnishments
  • Reconcile payroll deductions 403(b) contributions and loan payments, PTO accrual and Health insurance allocations
  • Maintain payroll records
  • Provide customer service to employees
  • Audits all new hires and verifies that payroll related changes are accurately reflected within the payroll system
  • Processes timesheets timely through time and attendance through ADP WFN
  • Prepares payroll account reconciliations
  • Assists and support all internal and external audits related to payroll & benefits
  • Reviews benefit bills with payroll runs for accuracy
  • Identifies and solves problems, makes sound judgments; and deals tactfully and effectively with employees and other department managers.
  • Assists management with ad-hoc report requests, including special projects and initiatives
  • Performs other related duties as required and assigned.
  • Assist in overseeing 401k plan, including auditing of file feeds
  • Updating payroll records by entering any changes to employee information or benefits such as job title changes, exemptions and saving deductions
  • Preparing reports that include summaries of earnings, tax deductions, leave, compassionate leave and non-taxable wages
  • Processing and issuing W-2 forms to employees
  • Accepts additional assignments related to payroll reporting functions
  • Perform basic analysis, reporting, quarter-end and year-end audits, and research related to payroll processing
  • Demonstrates an ability to respond to changing workloads and crisis and emergency situations.
  • Develops and implements effective administrative processes to provide employees with easy access to payroll information and decisions.
  • Assists with preparation of management reports
