Boys & Girls Clubs of Broward County Job Description   PE Director (GRANT)     RESPONSIBLE TO: Director of Program Development   GENERAL FUNCTION: Support staff for CSC Summer Program.   KNOW HOW:  Must be a current college student or college student. Must have working knowledge of computers and interacting and motivating elementary students.    JOB SEGMENTS: 1. Stimulate interest and participation for members in reading/math/nutrition/fitness. 2. Help maintain classroom materials and fitness equipment. 3. Help classroom teacher & fitness director. 4. Mobilizing members to attend classes in CSC. 5. Help with maintaining discipline and adherence to BGC rules. 6. Develop a positive atmosphere among the members toward achieving long term academic and social goals. 7. File members’ applications. 8. Log members’ pre/post test for reading/math/fitness/nutrition. 9. Interact with parents as needed.  10. Communicate with Data Entry Clerk with members’ attendance. 11. Provide quality assurance for program.     PHYSICAL AND MENTAL REQUIREMENTS: High level of energy, endurance and patience. Comfortable working with different personalities in an informal environment. Good reasoning abilities and sound judgment. Ability to model appropriate behaviors at all times. Ability to address and de-escalate crisis. Physical requirements include sight, hearing, sitting for over two hours plus per day.   EFFECT ON END RESULTS: Completion of program with positive feedback from Club Director. 
Responsibilities
The PE Director supports the summer program by stimulating student participation in fitness, reading, and math activities. They are also responsible for maintaining equipment, managing classroom discipline, and logging student progress data.
