JOB OVERVIEW

We are seeking an experienced, innovative and highly motivated pensions professional to manage our pension and reward service. Spanning both Epsom & St Helier and our community services, the successful candidate will join our people systems team to deliver an outstanding pensions and staff benefits service to our workforce.

ESSENTIAL CRITERIA

  • Highly developed specialist knowledge of NHS pension schemes
  • Operational Payroll Management expertise
  • Expert knowledge of national NHS terms and conditions (AfC and Medical)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication; able to communicate clearly and effectively

Responsibilities:

MAIN DUTIES OF THE JOB

The post holder will provide high quality, advanced, specialist knowledge and technical expertise to department managers, clinicians, ward managers and all other trust staff in all areas of pension administration and trust staff benefit schemes.
The post holder will be responsible for the trusts day to day pension and staff benefits provision and developing the service, including running pension clinics for our people and working closely with our people systems team, payroll liaison and SBS to provide a complete pensions advice and administration service.
The post holder will ensure the pension service is compliant with statutory regulations and Trust audit requirements. The post holder will be responsible for continual service improvement, measuring performance against Service Level Agreements and taking pro-active remedial action to ensure delivery to a high level of customer satisfaction.
