JOB DESCRIPTION

The Personal Injury Administrative Liaison is responsible to provide effective case management services for personal injury and workers compensation patients in an appropriate, cost-effective manner by communicating, monitoring, and maintaining correspondence with attorney firms and workers comp case managers.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree
  • Prior Workers Compensation and Attorney Case Management with existing contacts preferred
  • Familiarity with eClinicalWorks EMR system
  • Proficient in MS Office and Excel

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:

  • Knowledge of the Personal Injury and Workers Compensation process and requirements for medical care.
  • Strong organizational and prioritization skills
  • Efficiency and accuracy working with multiple referral sources
  • Exceptional customer service experience
  • Communication skills both verbal and written
  • Ability to prioritize work and handle multiple tasks
  • Ability to work independent
  • Ability to handle sensitive information responsibly and ethically
    The pay range for this role is:
    58,000 - 75,000 USD per year(SpineOne - Lone Tree
Responsibilities
  • Monitor patient encounters and reschedule cancelled/missed appointments.
  • Manage patient outbound referrals and communication to attorneys and case managers
  • Forward signed paperwork to representation as needed
  • Filing paperwork with the state
  • Regular and consistent reporting to administration
  • Thorough understanding of current PI/WC cases being treated and status of each patient: which procedures, images, PT, and outbound referrals
  • Updating legal case status
  • Document and consistent communication with attorney on file
  • Special IME/PIR Narrative Requests
  • Billing Structure: Med pay, Lien, CPT Codes, etc.
  • Filing Status
  • Communication with treating providers etc.
  • Reviewing medical records for efficacy and accuracy
  • Managing payment status for each case
  • Maintains contact and communicates with attorneys and claims adjusters to apprise them of case activity, case direction or secure authorization for services.
  • Maintains contact with all parties involved on case necessary for case management.
  • Demonstrates ability to meet administrative requirements, including productivity, time management and QA standards, with a minimum of supervisory intervention.
  • Reviews cases with manager monthly to evaluate files and obtain directions.
  • Demonstrates excellent customer service, and respect for customers, co-workers, and management.
  • Independently approaches problem solving by appropriate use of research and resources.
  • Staying up to date on state bills, regulations, policies and procedures for treating physicians.
  • May perform other related duties as assigned
