Appalachian Mountain Health ("AMH"), a Federally Qualified Health Center network based in Asheville, NC, is hiring a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join our exceptional clinical team. This position will be delivering quality-focused primary care services for patients. AMH provides comprehensive, accessible, patient-centered primary care to all, including low-income, medically underserved and uninsured populations, at six locations throughout Western North Carolina. Our NP/PAs work closely with physicians, other advanced practitioners, behavioral health clinicians, and clinical and administrative support staff in a team-based approach to patient care. Requirements Required qualifications include: Physician Assistant /Nurse Practitioner degree from an accredited institution. Current North Carolina PA-C or NP license. CAQ. CPR certification. At least one year of experience in a primary care setting functioning at the full extent of training and licensure Strong commitment to practicing in a community health setting. Excellent interpersonal skills, as well as critical thinking skills, the ability to handle stressful situations and the capacity to function independently. High degree of initiative, judgment, discretion and decision-making to achieve AMH's mission.
