Operating within Forsite’s BC Planning & Analysis business area, the Planning Forester will

• Develop and facilitate planning processes in response to a range of forest land management challenges - including forest stewardship, watershed management, landscape resilience and wildfire risk.
• Support the Forsite Team in providing services to our Indigenous and Community Forest clients, including license management, partnerships, stewardship planning and forest operations.

This position will require extensive knowledge of forest legislation & policy and landscape level forest management and wildfire management concepts to provide focused, innovative, and meaningful solutions to our clients. Depending on the candidate’s experience and interests, the Planning Forester’s projects may include License Management, Forest Landscape Plans, Integrated Resource Management Plans, Land Use Plans, Access Management Plans, Old Growth Management, Wildfire Management, and Climate Vulnerability Assessments.
