Description Cornerstone CDC, a private preschool in the St. Matthews area of Louisville, is seeking a full-time Preschool Teacher to join our staff. This teacher will partner with a team teacher to plan and implement age-appropriate curriculum for a classroom of adorable and eager 3 year olds. We are seeking candidates who are energetic, nurturing and enjoy working as part of a team. We are a Reggio Emilia inspired preschool program where we focus on the whole child--empowering their thoughts, questions, interests, and in turn fostering a lifelong love of learning. Starting for this position is between $33,000-$42,000 annually depending upon experience and education. Requirements Teacher must have an associate’s degree or higher to be considered for the position, though a bachelor’s degree is preferred. Teacher must have teaching experience in a Type I childcare facility or school system to be considered for this position. Applicants with a CDA will be considered if they have more than 5 years experience in a Type I facility with the age group for which they are applying to teach. This position requires movement in and out of chairs, sitting and getting up from a seated position on the floor, prolonged amounts of time standing both in and outdoors, and lifting weight of up to 50 pounds.
Responsibilities
The teacher will partner with a team member to plan and implement an age-appropriate curriculum for 3-year-olds. They will focus on the whole child by empowering their interests and fostering a love for learning.
