WHO YOU ARE

  • A professional with 7+ years of proven experience from Big 4 practice and industry of working on or in PCAOB and SEC registered businesses able to prove a solid understanding of SEC reporting requirements
  • Demonstrable technical expertise with strong experience in IFRS financial reporting, US GAAP, preparation and review of consolidated financial statements
  • Proven experience in leading and managing high-performing teams, displaying an authentic leadership style
  • Highly motivated and a proactive attitude, comfort dealing with and resolving ambiguity, and a willingness to work with a high degree of autonomy in a fast-paced, high-growth and rapidly changing environment
  • Problem-solving mindset, continuously seeking to improve whilst juggling competing deadlines and deliverables

Responsibilities:

ROLE

Reporting to the Senior Manager for Consolidation and Reporting you’ll be responsible for the accurate production of all of the Group’s external reporting requirements, under IFRS and USGAAP. Reporting includes but is not limited to, assisting in the preparation of all quarterly and year-end results, technical accounting support for new and ongoing M&A transactions/deals, preparation of statutory financial statements, and supporting the Group with technical/ accounting advisory services.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Assist the preparation of the Group’s IFRS and/or USGAAP consolidated financial statements, quarterly reports, and any necessary annual reports from both a statutory and consolidated point of view
  • Delivering technical accounting papers; debating complex accounting treatments/judgments; providing supporting audit documentation and coordinating responses as required from local and central accounting teams
  • Input into the annual and quarterly reporting cycles, preparing update papers to the Audit Committee, and supporting external communications by preparing briefing notes and explanatory schedules
  • Advise on the technical accounting treatment of business decisions, including international business operations, acquisitions, and disposals, including complex accounting areas, such as impairments and derivative valuations
  • Ensure Group compliance with relevant international accounting standards and support and communicate the development, setting, and maintenance of IFRS financial accounting/reporting policies group-wide, including the creation of a Group Reporting Manual plus training of the wider Finance team
  • Support the Financial Accounting team in Porto, in an advisory capacity, with the delivery of Group statutory accounts, including the subsidiary statutory accounts process
  • Manage a range of financial change projects alongside other senior members of the Finance team and wider group stakeholders
  • Lead, engage, and motivate a team, to deliver, ensuring performance is at a high level and our company values are reflected in how they perform their role
