Description:
Grade 9 - £39,186 for 14.48 hours per week for 52.14 weeks per annum equating to £15,335.49 pro rata.
Position: Principal Planning Officer (part time (2 days per week, fixed term 24 months)
Grade & Salary: Grade 9 (£39,186 – £43,421)
An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Council’s Planning Service to be part of Wales’ transition to a decarbonsied economy working alongside our Major Projects Officer and external partners on major development proposals. We are looking for a professional Planner who has substantial experience working in a Development Management context to join our dynamic Planning Service to help support the delivery of major development schemes within the County, particularly projects linked to the Celtic Freeport.
You will be a Chartered Member of the Royal Town Planning Institute (MRTPI) and have demonstrable experience dealing with a wide range of planning applications, particularly proposals for large scale, complex and Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) developments. Other aspects of the role will include acting as the lead Local Planning Authority contact for applications determined by the Welsh/UK Governments, preparing Local Impact Reports (and consultation responses) in line with procedural and legislative requirements and negotiating the detailed terms of Planning Performance Agreements and leading on those projects.
