Amazon’s supply chain is a critical piece in Amazon’s retail business. Although every retailer has a supply chain, none can match the scale at which Amazon operates. At Supply Chain Optimization Technologies (SCOT), we work on optimizing end-to-end inbound supply chain processes to enable delivery of billions of products to our customers’ doorsteps faster, saving hundreds of millions of dollars in the process. Our team, Inbound Signals, Visibility, and Scheduling (ISVS), manages and tracks the execution of all supplier shipments inbound to Amazon’s fulfillment network. Our systems interface directly with suppliers and carriers to coordinate thousands of pickups and deliveries weekly to ensure that items are in-stock and ready for purchase on the retail website, while tracking every step of the lifecycle for these shipments.
As a Program Manager you will have ownership and responsibility to manage and reduce Total Inbound Lead Time. This Program Manager will partner closely with Product Managers, Vendor Managers, Software Engineers, BIEs, Data Engineers and Operations teams to improve customer experiences, scale the business, and drive expansion. You will support multiple marketplaces and own goals and initiatives from end to end. This requires strong leadership skills and interaction with Amazon’s cross functional teams to drive the reduction of lead times across our supply chain. The ideal candidate will be comfortable in dealing with ambiguity, have strong attention to detail, be motivated by a fast-paced entrepreneurial environment, and will be comfortable thinking big and diving deep.
The primary focus of a Senior Program Manager in this role is to dive deep and identify delays in the inbound process and build compelling cases which influence decisions across the team and partner organizations. This role provides you an opportunity to work with and influence teams within the Operations, Retail, and Technical spaces. Sr. Program Managers are given responsibility on their first day to own those business challenges and are provided the autonomy to think strategically and make data driven decisions. You will be driving efforts with a significant impact to the customer experience and the business. A successful candidate will possess strong analytical and business writing skills, as well as the willingness to work and influence multiple teams.
We are looking for a leader with super-powers in analytics and getting things done. S/he should be a self-starter that thrives in ambiguity, with the ability to influence multi-functionally, and the willingness to roll up sleeves to operate in a dynamic environment. The ideal candidate is someone with a demonstrated history of successfully owning and managing large, complex problems and engaging with cross-functional teams, and numerous stakeholders, directly and through influence.

The primary responsibilities of this role include:

  • Deep dive and analyze key business performance metrics, identify gaps, create plans to mitigate and drive to closure
  • Own regular business reviews with leadership and operational teams to audit ongoing performance against key metrics and program goal
  • Develop new plans and roadmap to drive expansion
  • Cross functional coordination and alignment
  • Define new goals to measure the success of our program and drive health of the program
  • Monitor and respond to customer feedback
  • Scope and develop programs and associated roadmaps to deliver insights and drive decision-making.
  • Experience managing projects with multiple inputs and multiple stakeholders.
  • Partner closely with cross-functional teams to execute testing/validation initiatives aligned to team timelines.
  • Comfortably transition between big picture, strategic thinking and tactical, day-to-day planning and execution.
  • Create mechanisms to drive improved optimization on existing lane structure as well as create most efficient start up and standard work.
  • Ensures critical path timelines are met, resource needs are understood and project prioritization is visible to Sr leadership
  • Manage multiple projects and tasks simultaneously and effectively influence, negotiate, and communicate with internal business partners. Facilitate process improvement initiatives among site operations, engineering, and corporate systems groups.
  • MBA or Advanced Degree preferred.
  • Strong professionalism and grace under pressure.
  • High level of integrity and discretion to handle confidential information.
  • Advanced knowledge/experience with Microsoft Products (Excel, Outlook and SharePoint) or related advanced tools.
  • Passion and enthusiasm for customer experience, technology, and Amazon’s vision
  • Experience in building strategic processes at a global level.
  • Experience in managing and documenting Business Reviews and Roadmaps.
