WHO WE’RE SNIFFING FOR If palatability is in your vocabulary and you obsess about creating the best food and eating experiences for dogs, then we want to talk to you! The BARK team is looking for a highly driven self-starter for a Product Developer role . Reporting to the Sr. Product Development Manager, this role will work closely with our Concierge, Marketing, Sourcing, Operations, and external scientific partners to create food and treat products for dogs. KEY DUTIES Define, develop, plan, and manage R&D projects and product development initiatives. Partner with cross functional teams to identify customer insights and translate these into new product development opportunities. Discover & collaborate with third party manufacturers to deliver projects from concept to commercialization. Ensure all products meet guidelines for Bark quality, nutrition, regulatory, and palatability. EXPERIENCE Minimum 5-7 years experience in product development or R&D in the pet food industry, injection molding experience preferred. Experience in managing projects throughout the whole product development R&D process from prototyping, production, QA to logistics, and fulfillment. Experience in a high volume manufacturing environment, preferably in the Consumer Packaged Goods Industry. Experience working directly with contract manufacturers, material vendors, and new technologies. SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS B.S. degree in Food Science, Chemistry, Food Safety, Engineering or related field. Ability to manage multiple cross functional stakeholders. Fantastic communicator. MUST LOVE DOGS. This position is a full-time, salaried position. This role is remote based or can be located at our NY headquarters or Columbus, OH fulfillment facility. COMPENSATION The base salary range for this position is $80,000- $100,000 This position is eligible for equity **This compensation range is based on BARKs good faith estimate as of the date of this posting and may be modified in the future. Actual pay for this position will depend on a variety of variables including location, travel, internal equity, experience, education, skills and expertise.
