OTHER REQUIREMENTS

  • 6+ years of experience in product management, including ability to champion product and UX.
  • Demonstrable experience as a Business Analyst covering the full project lifecycle.
  • A passion for crafting awesome products through continual experimentation, iteration, and optimisation.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills and good attention to detail in both analysis and written.
  • Good understanding of agile product development best practices.
  • Strong business sense – we are building a true end-to-end solution, collaborating with other teams and the ability to identify and leverage features across the platform is key, as well as articulating the business value of such changes.
  • Background within the shipping industry is a bonus.

Responsibilities:

ROLE SUMMARY

We are now looking for a Product Manager to join our London office.
You will help drive and shape the future development of projects in line with the overall goals of the business within the Operations stream.
Building relationships with stakeholders, to ensure you understand the customer needs which must align with the product and engineering teams to ensure the business goals, vision and met.
This is a key role as we build a culture of true customer-led product design through data-driven solutions and deepen our product set.
You will be providing product management and analysis work relating to business/systems requirements on existing systems for various departments. This may include some application support, testing and training on the solutions developed in-house or externally.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

  • Partnering with key stakeholders to define the strategy, vision, and roadmap for growing the existing product and scaling this globally.
  • Collaborate with the Engineering Manager and Tech Lead in determining and maintaining the product delivery roadmap.
  • When required, you should be able to take onboard Product Owner responsibilities and drive the product forward.
  • Continuous monitoring of the product and platform, tracking and reviewing metrics to ensure delivery is being met.
  • Proactively communicate and collaborate with internal stakeholders to analyse information needs and functional requirements and deliver any artefacts as needed, including user stories, change requests, and screen designs.
  • Manage requirements at all stages of refinement so there is no delay to the development team in receiving sufficient clarity to deliver fit and functional features.
  • Serve as the conduit between the customer community and the software development team through which requirements flow, facilitating direct dialogue between customers and technical resources where appropriate or required.
  • Become the subject matter expert within the products domain and act when required.
  • Effectively manage and prioritise own workload, providing regular status updates as required. Where required, plan and participate in system testing activity and user training.
  • Competent in handling multiple products/features at any point in time.
  • Provide guidance to others for the completion of support documentation, including user help documentation, guides and manuals and updates to the internal applications.
