Job Scope
The Product Manager will be responsible for developing and leading the marketing strategy for retention and growth of business in the Vitamin D and General Medicine franchise This includes planning and execution of sales enablement support for growth of share in the US market. In addition to the direct business, this role will also support efforts for clinical / scientific education needs and KOL collaboration.
Develops and leads the marketing strategy for the Vitamin D and General Medicine franchise.
Leads the development of material and messaging to support the marketing strategy, based on current market dynamics and business insights
Proactively monitors franchises and alerts leadership of business risks and opportunities and tracks and monitors performance to ensure achievement of financial objectives
Supports field in managing customers through the sales cycle
Ensures budget for individual franchise is maintained and within allowance
Coordinates cross-functionally based on franchise needs
Serves as the subject matter expert for the field and training programs
Performs market research and analysis
Competitive intelligence and positioning
Identifying market trends and business impacts
Market size and share positions
Coordinates with product development teams in establishing design goals/product updates to ensure we deliver the right product based on customer needs
Works with project leaders and technical staff to monitor development progress and obtain customer feedback as needed.
Participates in the financial planning process through involvement in budgeting capital analyses, forecasting and continuous improvement.
Other duties may be assigned based on department or company business needs.
Education, Experience, and Qualifications
B.S. in Science or Marketing, MBA is desirable
3+ years of medical marketing experience (at least 1 year in-vitro diagnostic commercial experience preferred)
Experience managing the launch of at least 1 Product (3 preferred; in-vitro diagnostics launch experience preferred)
Excellent presentation skill and capability, both in preparation and delivery of information via PowerPoint presentations.
Track record of developing and maintaining excellent relationships with key stakeholders, both internal (i.e. Sales team) and external (i.e. customers).
Demonstrates strong analytical, financial and technical competencies. Experience in preparation of technical reports and product specification information.
Marketing experience including preparation of product support materials, including technical and advertising content.
Demonstrates ability to identify, plan and execute marketing campaigns based on strategic goals and initiatives.
Intermediate to advanced proficiency with real-time collaboration in Microsoft Office, especially Microsoft SharePoint / Teams / cloud-based environment
Data analytics and organization via Excel
Desirable Experience
Laboratory experience (i.e. lab tech)
Diagnostics sales experience
Project management experience
Scientific background sufficient to understand/explain product characteristics.
Knowledge of regulatory environment in which products are sold and regulatory rules as they apply to regulatory agencies such as FDA and Health Canada.
Knowledge of the IVD industry in the USA and Canada.
