* Be part of a dynamic and inclusive team that values your contributions * Support the portfolio managers * Brisbane, Sydney or Melbourne CBD location / hybrid wfh * Permanent role Short Tail Commercial Portfolios currently include Property, Strata, Equipment Breakdown and Commercial Fleet, distributed through the Vero brand via Brokers. The purpose of this role is to act as a subject matter expert for product and policy documentation across Short Tail Commercial portfolios. The role is accountable for the drafting, review and maintenance of policy wordings, PDSs, endorsements and related collateral to meet customer needs and ensure compliance with regulatory, legal, reinsurance and internal governance requirements. What you’ll do: The role works closely with Portfolio Managers and the Senior Product Specialist to: * Coordinate wording development and review with key stakeholders including Claims, Underwriting, Legal, Reinsurance, Risk and Distribution * Ensure alignment and consistency of wording intent across comparable Commercial portfolios * Deliver refreshed and updated documentation within agreed timeframes * Maintain strong product governance in line with Suncorp standards and the external regulatory environment * Support Portfolio Managers in delivering portfolio and product strategies through the development, update and maintenance of product documentation. * Contribute to both project-based initiatives (including regulatory and reinsurance programs) and business-as-usual activities, such as wording updates and new wording development. What you’ll bring: * Extensive experience in General Insurance policy wording and PDS development and/or General Insurance legal experience (required) * Legal qualification (strongly preferred) * Strong technical experience across a range of General Insurance products (preferred) * Experience in General Insurance claims or underwriting (preferred) * Strong insurance policy wording and drafting skills, including the ability to write in plain language and undertake detailed editing and review * Sound commercial judgement and decision making within delegated authority.
