Description:
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
- Ability to operate forklift and cranes
- 2- or 4-year degree in business or manufacturing related field, or equivalent experience, required
- Speak conversational English.
- Relevant experience as a Processing Specialist, Planner or Scheduler with strong knowledge of MRP and Kanban systems
- APICS Certification preferred
- Lean Systems experience and / or 6-Sigma Green Belt or currently pursuing
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Able to work in a high-paced environment
- Experience with ERP system required
- Proficient in MS Excel, MS Word, MS Outlook
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Ability to lift 20-50 repetitively throughout the course of a shift
- Ability to bend, sit, stand, twist and stoop for long periods of time
- Ability to walk 2-5 miles throughout the course of a shift
- Have good vision of 20/30 with corrective lenses
- Ability to maintain coordination of hand and finger movements to grasp and manipulate objects with precision
Subject to environmental conditions that occur indoors and outdoors which includes but is not limited to exposure to changing temperatures, loud noises and vibration from use of equipment and the following:
- Hazards: Variety of physical conditions, such as proximity to moving mechanical parts, electrical current, working on scaffolding and high places, exposure to high heat or exposure to chemicals.
- Atmospheric conditions: One or more of the following conditions that affect the respiratory system or the skin- fumes, odors, dusts, mists, gases or poor ventilation.
- Oils: There is air and/or skin exposure to oils and other cutting fluids

Responsibilities:
- Provide rough capacity plan to General Manager
- Review operations and provide information to resolve bottlenecks
- Work with maintenance and production departments to schedule preventive maintenance
- Design and implement replenishment strategies
- Manage MRP/Scheduling system
- Define production lot sizes
- Improve material utilization
- Manage drop inventory
- Measure, track and report / improve relevant KPI’s for the Scheduling function. These could include but are not limited to: On-Time Delivery, Material yield, production hours per work center, on time delivery by suppliers(outside processes)
- Conduct regular production meetings with direct reports and operations teams (daily/weekly)
- Identify opportunities to shift work to other OMS sites for instances when equipment is down, or over-capacity dictates outsourcing
- Approve short lead time production orders
- Manage, coach, evaluate, and develop direct reports, and ensure training needs and requirements are met.
- Responsible for providing error-free work to all internal and external customers as related to the output of the position.
- Supervise, mentor and coach all activities related to the Customer Service Representatives
- Planning / Scheduling (Supervise Master Scheduler, facility Planner/ Scheduler and Outside Services)
