Production Lab Inserter (1st Shift)

PDS Optical is a SDVOSB Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business that manufactures a very large number of eyeglasses each day. We have Optical Laboratories in Louisville, KY and Fort Lauderdale, FL and manage many optical stores across the US and Puerto Rico. We are looking for an employee who has an eye for detail and the ability to work fast and efficiently to join our team. The Inserter’s position responsibility is to insert lenses into frame and make sure the fit is correct and cosmetically appealing.
The shift is Monday - Friday, from 6:00 am - 2:30 pm with a starting pay of $16/hr. We offer 401K options with company match safe harbor, medical, dental and more!
No previous experience is necessary, we will provide training.

• Insert lenses into metal and plastic frames properly.
• Check the temple length, attach temples, and exchange the temples.
• Four-point adjustment on frames.
• Align lenses and check for obvious defects.
• Clean and straighten your work area at the end of your shift.
