JOB DESCRIPTION

The Ford Agency is actively recruiting for a smart and organized professional to join the professional development team at a prestigious DC law firm. The Coordinator will collaborate with leadership to assist with attorney onboarding and orientations, bar renewals, and the mentorship program. The successful candidate will have at least 2 years of administrative experience in a professional environment. This is an excellent opportunity to gain experience in legal professional development that offers career growth!

Responsibilities Include:

  • Coordinate attorney onboarding, including welcome communications, scheduling orientations, and other logistics to ensure a smooth transition
  • Monitor and document development milestones for legal staff including onboarding, discussions about development, and readiness for promotion
  • Assist with bar renewals, bar payments, tracking bar membership statuses
  • Coordinate the mentoring program, including coordinating welcome lunches and aiding in mentor pairings
  • Assist with other projects and professional development initiatives

Qualifications Include:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 2+ years of experience in a professional environment, HR or Professional Development experience a plus
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills
  • High level of attention to detail
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a team
  • Ability to multi-task with strong customer service skills
  • Strong MS Office skills
  • Experience with Workday or ViRecruit a plus
