Department/ Unit: Department of Finance Closing Date: Until the position(s) are filled The Department of Finance at CUHK Business School now invites applications for the positions of Professor(s)/ Associate Professor(s). We welcome applications from qualified scholars specializing in all areas of finance. The Department of Finance currently has 44 full-time faculty members, with 3/4 of them being tenured and tenure-track faculty in different areas of finance. The Department has been expanding in recent years and is on upward trajectory in research productivity, with many faculty members successfully publishing in Journal of Finance, Journal of Financial Economics, Review of Financial Studies, Journal of Financial and Quantitative Analysis, among others. The CUHK was ranked 36th globally and 2nd in the Asia-Pacific region in the UT Dallas World Business School Research Ranking based on the publications in the three finance top-tier journals (JF, JFE, RFS) from 2019-2024. For appointment at the rank of Associate Professor, candidates should have excellent track record of publications at the very best journals and demonstrable teaching performance. For appointment at the rank of Professor, they should also demonstrate strong record of professional achievement and visibility. For either appointment, candidates are expected to provide leadership to help the Department to grow, and teach in the more demanding postgraduate programmes (MSc/MBA/EMBA/PhD).
