ABOUT THE JOB

We are seeking an organized and dynamic individual join our team as Program Associate, Health. Reporting to the Director, Health, you will be a key player in driving the goals of our Health Program Pillar. Responsibilities include ensuring seamless program operations, network engagement, and contributing to the development of communications outputs and program activities.
You are the ideal candidate for this job if you have experience in program or project management, strong administrative and organizational skills, enjoy working collaboratively, are adept at intercultural communication, and enthusiastic about engaging with people and institutions all over the world.
The position is based at Schloss Leopoldskron, home of Salzburg Global Seminar in Salzburg, Austria.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • A bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience, ideally in in social sciences, global health, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in program management, project administration, or operations, preferably in a global health or nonprofit setting.
  • Strong administrative and organizational skills, with attention to detail and the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Excellent interpersonal and diplomacy skills; able to work with people from diverse backgrounds and at all levels of an organization.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, ability to work with database software, and content management platforms.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Fluency in English.

Responsibilities:

Program Operations and Administration

  • Work closely with the Director on the research, planning, and execution of a robust portfolio of Health program activities.
  • Oversee logistics including participant recruitment, invitations, and program scheduling.
  • Manage program timelines, ensuring deadlines are met and materials are prepared for participants and stakeholders in line with institutional guidelines.

Coordinate with internal departments at Salzburg Global, including Operations, Hospitality, and Communications, to ensure smooth execution of programs.

Communications and Content Development

  • Work with the Director and Communications team on the implementation of the Health program content strategy.
  • Draft content and program updates to promote and highlight key outcomes from Salzburg Global’s Health programming.

Contribute to the creation and dissemination of promotional materials, including blog posts, newsletters, and social media content.

Network Engagement and Collaboration

  • Collaborate with the Director on network development and evaluation activities.
  • Support partner engagement and maintain strong communication channels with program participants, funders, and other key stakeholders.

Contribute to the robust future trajectory of the Health program pillar, including supporting the curation of networks and long-term and multi-year projects
