On behalf of a loyal client to Carecor, we are seeking a Program Manager that can manage the business operations of this program’s community support services. This is a full-time permanent job with comprehensive benefits and solid support services. For this same employer and hiring manager we also seek a homecare Supervisor, which is also a full-time permanent job opportunity.

KEY QUALIFICATIONS

  • Post-secondary diploma or degree in a related field, Business/Accounting/Finance

courses desirable

  • 2-5 years experience in the Social Services/Health Sector with demonstrated experience supervising others such as PSWs or other care givers
  • At least 5 years experience providing management support within multidisciplinary team
  • Experience leading management team and working with various locations requiring

distance management skills

  • Understanding and awareness of physical disabilities/senior services; experience with Brain Injury programs is an asset
  • Knowledge of community resources / services
  • Knowledge of union collective agreements is an asset
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community
  • Knowledge of/expertise in cultural competency in a work place
  • Program and budget management experience
  • Strong problem-solving skills in dealing with human relationships
  • Understanding of how legislative requirements may affect ability to make decisions
  • Proven skills in the implementation of performance management and dispute resolution
  • Experience with persons with physical disabilities desirable
  • General understanding of computer hardware and software
  • Change management skills and experience
  • Bilingual English/French is an asset
  • Ability to work independently from home and in office near the bottom of the DVP in Toronto
  • Valid driver’s license and willing to travel throughout region

Responsibilities:

ROLE PROFILE

Reporting to the Regional Director, the Program Manager - Toronto provides leadership to/and supervises Community Support Supervisors and/or the Support Services Management team. The Program Manager oversees operational functions and manages the delivery of a combination of Attendant Services for those with physical disabilities or seniors which may consist of Outreach, Supportive Housing Programs, Assisted Living and Congregate Care. The Program Manager is responsible for scrutiny of service delivery and the management of finances and human resources to meet consumer needs within March of Dimes Canada policies and procedures. The Program Manager will coordinate budget and program plan documentation and will be required to provide support to program volunteer committees and consumer groups. The Program Manager will also be required to implement quality improvement measures throughout the programs for which they are responsible.
