Architecture49 (A49) is seeking a Project Architect to join our team in Western Canada.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Registered architect in British Columbia, or the ability to be registered.
  • At least 6 years of experience in a similar role
  • Preference given to candidates with knowledge of BIM principles and workflows, REVIT software, Microsoft 365 environment, and Bluebeam.

Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to the production of architectural design solutions and construction drawings.
  • Manage a group of architectural staff, leading project meetings, and coordinating engineering consultants on multi-disciplinary projects.
  • Perform internal reviews and quality checks of the drawings to ensure compliance with codes, standards, and guidelines.
  • Provide technical mentoring and leadership to less experienced staff.
  • Guide contract administration including reviewing submittals, responding to RFIs, conducting field visits, and working with construction contractors.
  • Coordinate with management to address the financial aspects of a project including planning, scheduling, forecasting and staffing to achieve desired results.
