Our Project Management team is looking for a Assistant Project Manager / Project Controls to join us in Ottawa.
WHAT YOU’LL BRING
- Minimum of 5+ years of relevant experience as a planner/scheduler on capital projects, including design and construction phases
- Extensive experience with P6 and Microsoft Project
- University Degree or equivalent to any of the following, Construction Project Management, Architecture or Structural/Civil Engineering, etc.

Responsibilities:
- Develop work breakdown structures (WBS)
- Create a high-level master schedule that incorporates the initial CPM schedule and the design team & contractors’ schedule
- Track critical activities and changes to the critical path impacting the project
- Track program milestones and interdependencies
- Utilize industry accepted methodologies to analyze delays
- Provide information on items impacting the project schedule
- Responsible for spotting the critical path, as well as proffering alternatives to regain slippage to the schedule
- Networks regularly promoting the business, cross-selling and building new contacts and enhancing client relationships; resolves issues promptly
- Familiar with the local market, key industry players and upcoming projects
- Provides regular updates to the project management team members on the progress of individual work
- General understanding of who our clients are and the terms of our engagement
- Be proactive; seek as much feedback as possible
