About us:
King’s IT Department provides core IT infrastructure and application services in support of teaching and learning, research and administration across the College. A wide range of applications and services are delivered and supported by central and campus-based teams working in collaboration with other College colleagues.
Within IT Solutions, the IT Estates & Facilities portfolio delivers project delivery expertise for Estates and Facilities IT projects. Project managers within the portfolio are supported and assisted by portfolio project coordinators.
About the role:
The Project Coordinator is responsible for supporting the Head of Portfolio, Programme and Project Managers in the planning and delivery of a number of programmes and projects.
The successful candidate will be expected to build relationships across a wide stakeholder community, to help ensure the projects are delivered to budget and within timescales, in line with university requirements.
The Project Coordinator will oversee the management of the portfolio roadmap, finances and resources ensuring they are accurately developed and maintained. They will also be involved in the day-to-day running of projects and providing vital support to Project Managers.
The project coordinator will lead the coordination of projects within the Kings Operating Model ( KOM) and SAFe agile methodologies, support IT project managers in the delivery of IT projects and support of project governance.
This is a full time (35 Hours per week), and you will be offered an indefinite contract

To be successful in this role, we are looking for candidates to have the following skills and experience:
Essential criteria
1. Education to degree standard and/or equivalent qualifications/experience
2. Experience of supporting project managers and/or of managing projects
3. Sound understanding of project management, dependency management and working knowledge of formal project management methodologies
4. Experience of finance management in support of projects
5. Experience of using Microsoft Project
6. Experience of using Microsoft SharePoint
7. Ability to identify and manage priorities
8. Presentation skills and the ability to communicate confidently
Desirable criteria
1. SAFe/ Agile methodology experience
2. Experience of the Kings Operating Model (KOM)
