Working with over 50 global financial institutions across banking, insurance and investment, the Centre for Sustainable Finance (CSF), comprising of ClimateWise, the Banking Environment Initiative (BEI) and Investment Leaders Group (ILG), helps its members to play a leading role in collectively and innovatively tackling climate change.
We are looking for a highly motivated Project Manager to support the ClimateWise initiative, a global network of leading insurance industry organisations.
The role
The Project Manager will ensure the smooth running of ClimateWise by managing and overseeing all operational and administrative tasks to deliver the highest quality service to our members.
You will proactively manage membership information, ensuring accurate records at all times. You will work to seamlessly deliver both online and in-person member meetings including issuing papers and minuting. The role involves financial management, and you will be responsible for ensuring smooth financial processes including invoicing and tracking, raising purchase orders, budget oversight and financial reporting.
The role is external facing so you will be adept at developing and maintaining professional relations with key external stakeholders such as subject matter experts, academics, and those within the University of Cambridge. You will also be able to develop good working relationships with colleagues within CISL and to provide support to the Programme Manager and Director including diary and travel coordination.
Key skills and experience:
- Educated to degree level or equivalent professional experience.
- Experience in project management, including managing project teams, financial planning, and delivering work to a high quality within project budgets and tight time frames.
- Experience working in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple projects with overlapping deadlines.
- Experience of managing and delivery events, either online or in person, ideally in a customer-orientated environment.
- Experience working closely with senior stakeholders such as senior finance professionals and/or policy decision makers.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, making complex content accessible to a wide-ranging audience.
- Ability to think strategically with strong research and analytical skills, and a high standard of attention to detail.
- Proven ability to build and maintain excellent relationships with colleagues and external stakeholders.
- Ability to work on own initiative and proactively solve problems to deliver outcomes for clients.
- High level of competence across standard Microsoft software packages.
- Proven ability in using Client Relationship Management (CRM) systems.
