OVERVIEW.

Our client is seeking an IT Project Manager for an immediate start for short term contract for a communication system software upgrade. Applicants must have previous council experience or equivalent.

SKILLS.

• 5-8 Years of project management experience
• Previous council or equivilent experience working across software or IT projects is a must

• Plan and test software and then project plan to coordinate the implmentation of the upgrade.
• Assembling project teams, assigning tasks, setting clear expectations, and providing guidance and support to team members throughout the project lifecycle.
• Identifying project stakeholders and maintaining regular communication with them to keep them informed about project progress, address concerns, and manage expectations.
• Allocating resources effectively to ensure that project tasks are completed on time and within budget. This includes managing both human and material resources.
• Facilitating effective communication within the project team and with stakeholders. This includes holding regular meetings, providing updates, and addressing any issues or concerns that arise.
• Maintaining accurate project documentation, including project plans, progress reports, meeting minutes, and other relevant documentation.
• Identifying and resolving issues and conflicts that arise during the course of the project, including resource constraints, technical challenges, and stakeholder disagreements.
• Overseeing project closure activities, including obtaining client acceptance, finalizing deliverables, conducting project evaluations, and documenting lessons learned for future projects.
