Full Time fixed term role for 1 year Support key health initiatives and cross-centre collaboration at the Westmead Hub of the Charles Perkins Centre Base Salary $103,185 + 17% superannuation About the opportunity As the Project Officer for the Charles Perkins Centre (CPC) Westmead Hub, you will work closely with the CPC Westmead Directors, Professor Clara Chow and Professor Maria Craig, and play a key role in supporting research, operations and stakeholder engagement across a range of CPC-led initiatives. This includes major initiatives such as supporting the Type 1 Diabetes project node and further development of other project nodes arising at Westmead, as well as collaborative research efforts spanning Nepean, Camperdown and Westmead campuses. You’ll be responsible for coordinating project activities, fostering connections across research and clinical networks at Westmead, Nepean and Camperdown, curating and delivering events, and some administrative duties including managing finances and project ethics. This role is central to expanding the CPC’s presence at Westmead and supporting the delivery of programs aligned with the CPC vision. This role is primarily based at the Westmead Hub but will involve travel to other CPC locations including Camperdown and Nepean. Your key responsibilities will be to: coordinate and support CPC Westmead initiatives through the planning, implementation and delivery of key research and health programs aligned with the Centre’s strategic priorities foster collaboration by building strong networks across Westmead, Nepean and Camperdown and with a focus on engaging early- and mid-career researchers lead the planning and delivery of events and communications that promote CPC Westmead’s work and engage internal and external stakeholders manage project operations, including financial administration, reporting and governance processes to ensure efficient and effective delivery support research and funding activities by assisting with ethics and governance processes, preparing reports, and identifying new funding opportunities in collaboration with researchers About you tertiary qualifications in a health-related field or equivalent combination of training and experience experience in project management and administration within a research, university or health environment strong understanding of research processes including ethics, governance and reporting excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to work across disciplines and locations highly organised, proactive and able to work independently while managing multiple priorities.
