As our Metronet Railcar Project rolls on to design, manufacture and maintain 246 new railcars for the PTA’s $1.6 billion Railcar Program, we are looking to welcome a full time Project Planning Manager to our team for a fixed term of 18months. To support a significant phase of our mono-project, this role offers a rare opportunity to lead the entire planning process and be a key liaison to our customer and stakeholder groups.
An individual contributor, this position reports to the Planning Tender and Operations Director and will have full autonomy to complete all planning and scheduling activities, manage critical reporting and facilitate risk mitigation workshops and site visits with key clients. Whilst a fixed term position, we expect there to be further opportunities at the end of the initial period and hope to support an ongoing career with Alstom.

As a strategic, holistic thinker and problem solver, we will look to you to;

  • oversee and lead the planning process, working in close collaboration with internal project teams (local and international), our Customer, suppliers and external stakeholders and the Project Director.
  • facilitate planning and progress meetings, Customer site visits and risk workshops
  • prepare and manage internal and customer schedules, progress reports, planning and contractual related documentation and ensure accuracy and data integrity
  • ensure efficient and effective resources to enable project delivery in line with contractual, customer obligations
  • be accountable for the performance and KPI adherence and leading collaborative discussions to enable alignment and confidence with relevant stakeholders
