We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for a Purchasing Agent in Miami, Florida. This role is within the aviation industry and involves overseeing the procurement of aircraft parts, materials, and tooling to support maintenance requirements. The Purchasing Agent will negotiate with vendors, expedite orders, manage logistics, and maintain organized records to ensure smooth operations.

• Oversee the purchasing of all parts, materials, and tooling necessary to support maintenance requirements.
• Negotiate with vendors and suppliers to secure the best deals.
• Create purchase orders and obtain approval from the Purchasing Manager.
• Maintain organized records of purchases, receipts, and inventories.
• Ensure received parts and materials come with proper certifications and adhere to project budgets.
• Evaluate suppliers based on price, quality, availability, and other criteria.
• Expedite and route parts to and from maintenance aircraft in a timely manner.
• Resolve shipping errors and schedule delivery times with suppliers.
• Maintain a clean and efficient shipping/receiving area and tool room.
• Attend industry trade shows to stay current on trends and meet suppliers.
• Bachelor of Business, International Business, Supply chain or related field
• Familiarity with ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning
• Understanding of Accounting Functions
