WHAT TO EXPECT:
We are looking for a Purchasing Coordinator to join our team. In this role you’ll be supporting and working with our R&D engineering and production teams to make sure that they have the parts to build and improve our leading-edge quantum computers. You’ll work with passionate, brilliant people on very cool technology which offers a whole new way of solving problems.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with R&D engineering and Production teams to ensure adequate materials are purchased for production and experimental builds
- Generate request for quotes and purchase orders for electrical, mechanical and non-production/engineering requirements
- Work with vendors to ensure quotes are competitive and product and services are delivered on-time
- Maintain accurate records for pricing, reschedules, expedites, and order confirmations
- Develop and maintain strong, positive relationships with vendors, working to improve pricing, quality and lead times when necessary
- Work with Accounting to resolve purchase order to invoice discrepancies as they arise
- Work with Engineering change coordinator with bills of materials for new and existing products
- Resolve component quality problems in cooperation with engineering and suppliers
- Assist in improving the existing processes and procurement systems
