At Deloitte, we’re looking for a dynamic Pursuit Manager to drive growth in our Audit practice. If you’re passionate about making a tangible impact, this role offers you the opportunity to work on high-priority projects and initiatives that are critical to our success.
What will your typical day look like?
As an integral part of the Audit Growth Team, you’ll work on a diverse range of projects and manage priority pursuits with the aim of growing the Audit practice at Deloitte. Your ability to manage a pursuit from start to finish and challenge pursuit teams from the client’s perspective will be key in refining our approach, ensuring that our proposals and presentations stand out in a competitive market.
You’ll start by driving key initiatives within our Audit Growth Programs, managing projects that are designed to enhance our market presence and grow our audit practice. Whether you’re liaising with stakeholders to secure buy-in on new initiatives or preparing detailed reports and guidance packs, your role is all about delivering measurable outcomes that push the practice forward. You’ll also have the chance to refine and enhance existing processes and tools, ensuring that our strategies remain cutting-edge and effective.
On the pursuit management side, your day will involve taking the lead on high-profile audit pursuits, ensuring that every step of the pursuit process is meticulously managed. You’ll work closely with Audit Partners, and teams, coaching them through workshops to develop compelling value propositions and robust client strategies. Your ability to challenge pursuit teams from the client’s perspective will be key in refining our approach, ensuring that our proposals and presentations stand out in a competitive market. You’ll also collaborate with pursuit coordinators and designers, overseeing the creation of designed and differentiated documents that showcase our capabilities. By the end of the day, you’ll have contributed to both immediate wins, retention of key strategic clients and long-term growth, reinforcing Deloitte’s position as a leader in audit services.
About the team
The Audit Growth Team sits within the Audit & Assurance Practice working closely with the Deloitte National Sales Office. It is a team with people from diverse backgrounds and personalities that complement each other. We are busy with a purpose and always have fun at the same time.
What we do is highly visible within the audit practice because we are responsible for setting the strategy and driving the growth of Deloitte’s Audit practice. What we do:
Develop and drive the strategies of audit growth programs to build pipeline and win work
Oversee and manage the pipeline for external audit opportunities
Work in collaboration with key stakeholders to ensure the success of our audit growth programs’ success
Position and enhance Deloitte’s audit brand in the market
Coach and manage audit pursuits to increase chances of winning

If you’re curious, self-motivated, and enjoy working collaboratively, this could be the perfect role for you. You may have all or some of the following skills/experiences:
4 – 5 years experience in business development and pursuit management with time spent in professional services highly valued
Strong project management skills, with the ability to lead initiatives that create value
Confident stakeholder management skills, with an ability to build trust and connect at all levels
Deep understanding of the sales and pursuit strategy process, including:
Project management of pursuits
Mapping key relationships and developing relationship plans
Crafting value propositions and clear messaging
Challenging pursuit teams from the client’s perspective
Providing guidance on proposal structure and layout
Sharing lessons learned from past pursuits
Confident communicator with the ability to influence and persuade
Exceptional writing skills with the ability to adapt style for different audiences
Skilled in MS PowerPoint and MS Word; experience with Miro, Mural, and InDesign is a plus. Graphic design skills are desirable
