QA AUTOMATION DEVELOPER:

On behalf of our client, Procom is searching for a QA Automation Developer for a six-month contract role. This position is onsite at our client’s Calgary or Edmonton office.

QA AUTOMATION DEVELOPER - JOB DESCRIPTION:

The project involves the development and execution of unit tests for the OneStop 1.0 Platform, focusing on bug fixes and enhancements. The role requires both automated and manual testing within an Agile Scrum team environment.

QA AUTOMATION DEVELOPER - MANDATORY SKILLS:

  • 5 years of Test Automation experience.
  • Leadership experience.
  • Strong experience with Selenium WebDriver with Java, TestNG framework, and Postman.
  • Knowledge of Playwright, Jest, JavaScript, Python, and Selenium.
  • Strong understanding of agile software development life cycle.
  • Experience with modern web applications and technologies such as ReactJS, Node.js, and Docker.
  • Strong analytical skills and problem-solving abilities.

QA AUTOMATION DEVELOPER – NICE-TO-HAVE SKILLS:

  • Experience working with Test Case Management tools.
  • Experience creating and tracking bugs through issue tracking systems.
  • Familiarity with architecture styles such as Microservices.
  • Ability to demonstrate progress at regular intervals.
Responsibilities
  • Perform both automated and manual tests and verify bugs as part of an Agile Scrum team.
  • Develop automated tests (UI, API, e2e, Performance) and integrate into a CI/CD environment.
  • Build and maintain automation test infrastructure using tools such as Jest and Playwright.
  • Conduct root cause analysis of issues and review new and existing code.
  • Investigate areas for improvement in existing Test Automation Suite and develop modifications.
  • Compile timely, comprehensive, and accurate documentation.
  • Assist with application support tasks as required.
