ROLE DESCRIPTION

As a key member of the QA team, this role requires a strong background in test automation, good attention to detail, excellent communication skills and an innovative approach to problem solving and overcoming challenges. The successful candidate will be responsible for the development and maintenance of UI and API test automation frameworks in a fast-paced Agile environment. They will also promote the use of test automation across the organisation. The QA Automation Engineer will be working to support the implementation of new solutions for the London and Global Insurance Markets.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

• Create, extend and maintain working UI and API test automation frameworks to support the development of DOCOsoft CMS and platform systems.
• Create and maintain Test Automation pipelines.
• Develop and maintain test automation reporting systems.
• Preparing schedules with target dates for test automation deliverables.
• Reporting on test automation results and status.
• Mentoring and supporting QA engineers and Software Developers, working on Agile development teams, in the use of test automation and the use of test automation frameworks.
• Working with QA engineers and software developers to select and prioritise test cases for automation.
• Proactively communicating with Agile development teams and other technology teams to resolve issues or questions pertaining to test automation.
• Disciplined tracking, reporting, and resolution of test automation issues.
• Accurate and timely status reporting to Management, including issues prohibiting progress when appropriate.
• Elevating critical risks to project and management teams.
