DETAILS:

We’re looking for a proactive and experienced QA Tester to join our development team and help establish a strong testing practice from the ground up. This is a brand new position and you’ll be joining a small, close-knit group of passionate professionals who care deeply about quality, performance, and progress.
As the first dedicated QA hire, you’ll have the opportunity to shape how we approach testing — introducing your own ideas, helping us refine our processes, and making a real difference in the reliability of our systems.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

  • 2–3+ years of hands-on QA experience in a software development environment.
  • A self-starter who thrives in unstructured environments and can help build things from the ground up.
  • A strong understanding of software testing best practices, defect management, and test design.
  • Experience testing web-based platforms (functional, regression, exploratory testing).
  • Ability to pick up complex systems quickly and spot edge cases others might miss.
  • Clear, concise communicator who enjoys working with developers and sharing feedback.
  • Bonus: experience with test automation frameworks or scripting.

Responsibilities
  • Design, write, and execute manual and (eventually) automated test cases for new and existing features.
  • Work closely with developers and product stakeholders to understand requirements and identify test strategies early.
  • Document, track, and manage defects throughout the development lifecycle.
  • Bring structure to our testing — proposing and implementing processes, tools, and best practices.
  • Learn our niche, complex system quickly and begin contributing with meaningful test coverage early on.
  • Help the team build a growing suite of repeatable, reliable test cases for core areas of the product.
  • Be an advocate for quality in sprint planning, design reviews, and retrospectives.
