WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

Due to unprecedented growth, APS seeks a dynamic leader to fill the newly created role of Human Resources Generalist, reporting to the Human Resources Manager of your assigned region, you will be responsible for providing technical, administrative, and strategic leadership for all HR Initiatives to ensure compliance with company procedures and applicable federal, state, and local regulations specific to human resources, and provide support for all aspects of HR.

Additionally, the Human Resources Generalist will perform a variety of day-to-day duties, including, but not limited to, the following:

  • Execute assigned HR related projects and initiatives
  • Reviews, tracks, and documents all compliance with policies, procedures, trainings, and work assessments.
  • Benefits Administration
  • Execute recognition programs
  • Perform routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs including but not limited to compensation, benefits, and leave; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale; occupational health and safety; and training and development
  • Handles employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff
  • Assists with the preparation of the performance review process.
  • Assists with recruitment and interview process.
  • Schedules meetings and interviews as requested by hiring managers.
  • Administers Pre- Onboarding
  • Administers Short / Long Term Disability
  • Administers Unemployment Claims
  • Employment Verification Letter/Forms
  • Interface with team members in person at job sites as well as remote support
  • Trains and supports HR/Ops Assistant
  • Assists HR Director/Manager with all other reasonable duties as needed.

WHAT WE NEED YOU TO HAVE

You must have the following experience, skills, and attributes to succeed in this role.

  • 3 - 5 years of Human Resources experience
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred
  • Strong communication skills in both languages, with the ability to translate and interpret as needed
  • Bachelor’s Degree Preferred
  • Benefits knowledge Preferred
  • Strong knowledge of Federal and State employment laws and regulations.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for report writing and presenting findings
  • Attention to detail
  • Strong organizational skills to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks effectively
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams but also successful with working individually.
  • Understands and utilizes emotional intelligence when engaging coworkers and other individuals
  • Demonstrates initiative and ownership when presented with challenges
