The Role
As a Regional Nurse Manager in Victoria, you provide strategic oversight for your allocated region’s nursing workforce to ensure centre and regional plan initiatives are developed, can be met, and remain within standards consistent with the strategic directions set for nursing and the overall business.
You will support and drive the state’s Chronic Disease Management (CDM) program by supporting the training of new CDM/Care Plan nurses and the upskilling of existing nurses.

The Tasks

  • Provide leadership, guidance, and support to Practice Managers, Practice Nurse Managers & Treatment Room Team Leaders.
  • Strategically assess the Region for nurse led clinical business opportunities and develop implementation plans in collaboration with State Operational team.
  • Participate in state planning and reviews to provide nursing services feedback.
  • Collaborate with other department heads to optimise patient care outcomes and operational efficiency.
  • Collect, report, and advise on nursing services data including financial and clinical outcomes.
  • Analyse data and performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement necessary changes.
  • Drive the state CDM program. Provide support for training and development plans for the CDM workforce.
  • Initiate and develop constructive relationships with state resources and services which may benefit nursing services (i.e., Primary Health Networks, local universities, clinical service providers).
  • Provide nursing clinical (SME) advice and support for new business acquisitions, new medical centre builds and treatment room refurbishments.

The Successful Candidate

  • Registered Nurse (RN) with a valid state licence and a minimum of 5 years of progressive nursing experience.
  • Proven leadership experience in a managerial or supervisory capacity within a healthcare setting.
  • Strong understanding of healthcare regulations, compliance standards, and best practices.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritise, and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
