Description:
The Regional Partnership Lead will develop, manage, coordinate, and oversee the engagement with donors and partners. Responsibilities include resource mobilization, partnership development, outreach and strategic communications. The Lead will collaborate closely with Country Programs, either leading or supporting donor and partner engagement depending on program needs and context.
This position reports to the GGGI Regional Director (RD) and Head of Programs, with a secondary reporting line to the GGGI Head of Partnerships at GGGI HQ.
REQUIREMENTSQUALIFICATIONS
- Post-graduate qualifications in international relations, business administration, economics, environmental studies, or related thematic areas.
- Relevant professional experience (preferably at least 10 years) with partnership development and donor engagement responsibilities. As well as proven experience in project management, strategic communication, and proposal development.
- Proficiency in project cycle management methodologies and tools.
- Experience with CRM databases (e.g., Salesforce) and project management software.
- Experience working with developing countries and working experience in multi-cultural environments is a must.
- At least two (2) years of working experience, outside of home country.
- Proficient written and spoken English is a requirement. Proficient written and spoken Spanish is desirable.
Responsibilities:
- Lead regional efforts to diversify and expand GGGI’s funding sources to ensure long-term financial sustainability.
- Support the RD and Country Representatives (CR) in the engagement with new and existing donors to support Country Programs.
- Guide the proposal development process, guaranteeing alignment with donor requirements, and ensuring quality in the logframe and theory of change.
- Ensure the proper implementation of GGGI’s Project Cycle Management (PCM), from idea generation to project initiation, including proposal development and grant negotiation.
- Support the Regional Director and Country Representatives in strengthening cooperation with members, prospective members, and non-state actors for the development of strategic partnerships and expansion of the country program portfolio.
- Assist Country Representatives in advancing Membership and Host Country Agreement negotiations.
- Assist strategic communication efforts targeting donors, member states, and partners.
- Contribute to the implementation of GGGI’s account management framework, donor engagement plans and partnership strategies.
