We need a part time Registered Nurse to provide a respite service in a home-like setting in Mangere East.
Part time, 8 hours per week
$32.00 - 45.84 per hour

Spectrum Care is an independent charitable trust that provides a support network for people that have a disability. The type of people we are looking for are warm, engaging, family orientated individuals who are passionate about providing support to families. You will need to know how to liven things up, and calm things down, to notice how children are feeling, and to provide them with guidance, comfort or support as needed. You will need to be vigilant and creative.
All shifts are required as this is a 24 hour rotating roster.
You will be supported by a team of Community Support Workers to care for a current maximum of five babies who are medically fragile, or who have special needs by providing:
respite care, transition and palliative care
individual therapeutic programmes working alongside other paediatric health professionals
a safe and healthy environment
This service is fundamental for families to receive respite, and this role entails working with them in partnership. Goals are personalised and identify the needs of each child or young person in developing skills that will strengthen their capability and confidence.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Registered Nurse with the New Zealand Nursing Council and hold a current practising certificate
This is a casual role and you will be part of a dedicated and supportive team in Mangere East. We provide full training and support for continuing education.
