REPERTOIRE ADMINISTRATOR – FIXED TERM 8 MONTHS (PARENTAL LEAVE COVER)
We are a member-owned music rights management organisation, positioned at the intersection of music, data and technology. We have more than 119,000 members who are songwriters, composers and music publishers. We license organisations to play, perform, copy or record our members’ music, and we distribute the royalties to our members.
We are seeking someone to join the supportive, fun, and copyright-focused Repertoire team as a Repertoire Ownership Administrator. As part of the Repertoire department for 8 months, this role plays an important part in facilitating APRA AMCOS’ core service of royalty distributions to members and affiliate societies.
The role is a full time, fixed term position reporting to Team Leader, Repertoire Ownership Administration (ROA). This role will suit individuals with a keen eye for detail, a methodical approach and a passion for music and copyright. A capacity to interpret and process large data sets, with an interest in research using internal and external online systems is essential.
Key duties and responsibilities:
The core responsibility of this role is to deliver world class quality repertoire data for APRA AMCOS publisher members. Liaising closely with your teammates in Repertoire & Operations and in Publisher Relations, you’ll be utilising work registrations and agreements plus a variety of research tools to update musical work ownership information accurately and efficiently. This includes local and foreign works, registered and unregistered works, with updates to be done for both performing and mechanical rights.
Skills and Experience:
- Excellent music knowledge across multiple genres
- Good understanding of copyright for musical works
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong numeracy skills
Strong research skills using a variety of research tools and databasesIntermediate MS Excel skills
