Description:

Duties/Pligte

  • Ensuring that all student housing facilities (residences, houses and hubs) adhere to specific cleaning and maintenance standards.
  • Contributing to the sustainable management of the facilities.
  • Responsible for the management and optimal usage of all spaces, furniture and equipment.
  • Maintaining safety standards within residences, houses and hubs.

Job Requirements/Pos Vereistes

  • Grade 12 (Senior Certificate).
  • Proven appropriate experience gained within comparable environments in the hospitality industry or student accomodation in terms of cleaning standards and norms.
  • Technical knowledge about the maintenance of buildings.
  • Knowledge and experience in occupational health and safety.
  • Proven good interpersonal skills.
  • Empathy and a positive attitude towards students, staff and clients.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Good computer skills in MS Word (at least Outlook, Excel and Word).
  • Good administration and organisational skills.
  • Good conflict management skills.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.
  • The ability to work thoroughly and to manage time effectively.
  • The ability to act with confidence and authority.
  • Professional customer service.
  • A valid driver’s licence.

Recommendation/Aanbeveling

  • A certificate in project management.
  • Experience in project management.
