Resident Technical Officer - Mechanical & Electrical

Responsibilities

• To supervise Addition and Alteration Works and Restoration Works to Two (2) Conservation Buildings and One (1) Three-Storey Building at Istana for a period of 36 months
• To observe and comply with site safety, and submit all reports as directed and ensure that works are carried out in a safe and proper manner
• Shall be familiar with the respective M&E system testing and Commissioning (T&C) procedure and attend T&C and necessary follow up with the Consultant and Contractor
• Upon completion of the construction works, inspect and prepare the lists of defects, of any;
• To liaise with the contractors on the defect rectification works, track and monitor the progress and ensure that all defects are satisfactory rectified
• To keep and review records of works including materials, samples, site equipment, inspections, test reports and ensure proper documentation;

Requirements

• Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent from Singapore Polytechnic or other tertiary institutions of equivalent standing
• Possess at least 5 years of relevant and practical experience on site.
• Preferably with good knowledge and experience in A&A works of reasonable complexity
• Shall demonstrate strong understanding of respective M&E sequence of works and co-ordinating works;
