Our 2021 Holiday season begins October 15, 2021 and continues through January 1st,, 2022. To earn your full $500 bonus, you must work on mandatory shifts of: the day before Thanksgiving, Christmas week, and New Year’s Eve. As a Seasonal Associate, you may be scheduled for morning, daytime, or evening shifts any day of the week, Monday through Sunday. We will work with your schedule as best as possible. This is meant to be a part-time position of under 30 hours per week.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Minimum Experience, Skills, and Education

  • 21 years of age or over
  • Have scheduling flexibility, with the ability to work weekends, holidays and/or nights
  • Must present a neat and professional appearance, and is able to abide by the ABC dress code and earring/tattoo policy
  • Retail experience or customer service experience desirable, but not required
  • Positive attitude is a must
  • Flexibility in daily job tasks is essential
  • Able to interact with guests and other team members professionally and courteously
  • Must pass company-issued background screening prior to hire

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

With or Without Accommodations

  • Must be able to frequently lift and/or transport 25 pounds
  • Must be able to stoop, lift, stretch, bend and move during shift for store tasks
  • During COVID-19 procedures, must wear the appropriate PPE which includes face masks and gloves as needed
  • Must be able to remain standing for long periods upwards of 8 hours at a time, and frequently move throughout the store, including stockrooms and backrooms on premises
  • Must frequently lift and/or transport up to 25 pounds throughout the store including through any stockrooms or backroom on premises
  • Must be able to operate a computer sales terminal and frequently handle or touch products, money and/or any object located within store property. (Will be done by trained staff only.)
  • Occasionally ascends and descends ladders and step stools to safely access stockroom and floor shelves as needed
  • A person in this position frequently communicates to guests, team members, and any other persons who may enter the premises and must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.

Responsibilities:

Seasonal associates may do some or all of the following, depending on store needs:

  • Share holiday cheer and goodwill with our fellow team members and guests
  • Provide exceptional guest service by greeting and assisting all guests, answering questions, recommending products, and locating items in-store or at a nearby ABC location
  • Assist guests in getting their purchases to their vehicle
  • Create gift baskets as needed, wrapping with enthusiasm, with attention to detail and creativity
  • Operate a point-of-sale terminal to process guest transactions, involving basic cash handling and applying coupons or discounts in accordance with company policy (trained staff only)
  • Unload delivery trucks, if needed, depending on schedule
  • Assist in stocking the store throughout, including shelves and coolers
  • Keep the store clean, which includes: assist with box breakdown, light trash removal, and light cleaning duties (sweep, mop, keep bathrooms clean and supplied)
  • Covid-19 specific cleaning duties if assigned, throughout store
  • Deliver products to curbside as needed to our guests in their cars
  • Arrive for shifts on time and ready to work. Shifts may vary and are usually scheduled between the hours of 11 AM – 7 PM, 12 PM – 8 PM, and/or 3 PM – 10 PM.)
  • Other duties as assigned
