Responsibilities:
- Directing and managing all activities within the area of responsibility, particularly related to the revenue cycle program.
- Planning and implementing departmental training reviews, and updating departmental workflows.
- Regularly assessing all services, identifying problems, and utilizing data to analyze and propose innovative approaches for solutions.
- Monitoring patient inquiries and billing adjustments, while tracking and resolving any billing problems in a timely manner.
- Managing operational initiatives with measurable outcomes and formulating objectives, goals, and strategies collaboratively with other stakeholders.
- Ensuring the monthly balancing of accounts receivable and working directly with the accounting functions.
- Updating all relevant billing, coding, and collection policies and procedures and ensuring the implementation of these policies and procedures.
- Collaborating with clinic operations for the training of relevant topics for the front desk staff to reduce revenue cycle issues downstream.
- Developing and managing the charge master fee schedule.
- Overseeing internal billing and coding audits and coordinating external and internal compliance and reconciliation audits.
- Continuously engaging staff and other stakeholders in the improvement of EHR & PM systems and processes.
- Utilizing skills in Epic Software, Accounting Functions, Accounts Receivable (AR), Auditing, Billing Functions, Budget Processes, Medical Billing, Medical Coding, HealthCare Revenue Cycle, Revenue Cycle Processes, and Analyzing Revenues.
