We are currently looking for an experienced Hardware Engineer to join our team in Gdansk.
Responsibilities:
- Design, integrate, document & release to production new wireless fire detection products, including panels, sensors, wireless communication devices, user interfaces, etc.
- Develop specifications for electronic products, assemblies & parts. Create schematic drawings & PCB layouts of product designs principally using the Altium designer CAD package.
- Integrate existing technologies into new product designs.
- Plan & perform tests to verify that products achieve performance & reliability goals.
- Identify appropriate equipment & processes needed to verify design performance data.
- Ensure regulatory & safety compliance by providing the required information and documentation required for 3rd party approval processes.
- Resolve design & component related production & sustaining engineering problems.
- Redesign circuits when necessary to solve obsolescence problems.
- Initiate changes to optimize product designs to improve product performance, minimize costs & support production throughput & quality performance.
- Determine material & equipment needs to ensure sufficient resources for project completion.
- Develop or perform operational, maintenance, or testing procedures for electronic products, components, equipment, or systems to ensure the effectiveness and efficiency of engineering processes.
- Support the manufacturing process through definition of factory test requirements to ensure maximum test coverage and manufactured product quality.
- Utilize in-house prototyping facilities to create early prototypes of new designs for verification to speed up the development cycle time.
- Provide accurate estimates and scope of work to the project management teams for the effective planning of product development programs.
Who we’re looking for candidates:
- Experienced in work with RF designs 7 associated standards for ensuring compliance with regulatory norms.
- Knowledge of embedded electronics design obtained through a recognised
university degree.
- Ability to create circuit designs and create schematic drawings using modern CAD tools.
- Ability to debug and resolve RF/EMI issues.
- A few years prior relevant experience; experience with battery powered devices.
