Bluefin Resources is partnering with a renowned Australian consulting firm, assisting in the recruitment of a Risk and Compliance Manager.

You will ensure the effective and proficient management and administration of the Risk and Quality framework, guaranteeing practices are complaint with risk and quality regulations on a national remit.

Key responsibilities include

  • Quarterly Risk and Quality reporting to the Risk and Quality committee
  • Identify and review existing Risk and Quality Assurance and Independent frameworks and procedures and develop and update where necessary
  • Identify existing QA and Independence issue or non-compliance and advise improvements
  • Update Independence Policy, Risk Management framework and Policy and Quality Control procedures
  • Regular updates of SWA Risk and Quality framework and applying any applicable changes for ongoing compliance with relevant standards (ASIC, AASB, APES)
  • Conduct Risk and Quality training for new employees
  • Work with divisional leaders to determine the best way to remediate or mitigate identified risks
  • Implement appropriate controls and processes
  • Communicate risk management obligations across the organisation
  • Maintain the risk register

You will also have:

  • Prior experience in a Risk & Compliance/Quality/Assurance role within professional or financial services
  • Tertiary qualification in relevant discipline, CA/CPA preferred
  • Understanding of an Assurance environment
  • Demonstrate thorough understanding of Quality Assurance and Independence policies and procedures particularly ASIC requirements
  • Prior internal audit exprience would be favoured
  • Strong knowledge or Risk management standards
  • Ability to lead risk and quality whilst being commercial astute
  • Strong stakeholder management skills

You will undertake specific projects or tasks relating to the Quality Assurance Partner, Managing Partner and COO, this is a great opportunity to gain exposure to senior leaders.
