How you make a difference:
The Nursing Manager is responsible for the direct clinical and administrative oversight of the assigned unit(s). This position provides supervision of nursing staff for the provision of a nursing process that assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates a comprehensive nursing care plan. Participates in staff development and performance improvement activities as assigned. Initiates, participates and fosters interdisciplinary team to
facilitate the best patient experience and positive clinical outcome.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plans, coordinates, and supervises nursing care delivery on assigned units, ensuring proper documentation and a therapeutic environment.
  • Manages staffing, scheduling, human resources, and materials, collaborating with other departments and maintaining effective communication.
  • Provides direct supervision, motivating staff, addressing conflicts, and conducting unit staff meetings with training.
  • Evaluates staff performance, generates healthcare-related reports, and collects data for analysis and action plans.
  • Ensures safety, engages in professional development, provides individualized care, fosters teamwork, and contributes to positive change while maintaining clear and timely reporting.

Qualifications & Requirements:

Education

  • Graduate from an accredited college or university preferred.

Experience

  • A minimum of three experience as a staff Registered Nurse in a psychiatric setting is required
  • An additional two to three years’ leadership experience preferred.

Licenses/Certifications

  • Must hold a current License as a Registered Nurse in the state of employment.
  • Specialty certification preferred.
  • Must be CPR certified at the time of commencing employment.
