SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

  • Prior rostering experience with in-home aged care or community care
  • Experience with AlayaCare will be advantageous
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Ability to prioritise high volume workload and meet deadlines
  • Understanding of workforce management principles, HSE and relevant industrial award conditions
  • Confidence in full Microsoft Suite and emails
  • Highly developed interpersonal, communication and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work cohesively within a team environment and with autonomy
    Successful candidates will be required to clear probity checks including National Criminal History Record Check and an Aged Care Statutory Declaration.
Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE

Coordinate and optimise our frontline in-home aged care workforce by utilising rostering and scheduling systems and engaging with the people we support to understand and meet their needs and requirements while promoting a sustainable workforce.
The successful candidate will have previous experience in rostering for in-home aged care or community care, strong customer service skills and be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities.
This is a full time, maximum term contract until November, which can be based anywhere with work from home arrangements. Hours can be based between 6:30am and 5:30pm, with a monthly RDO!

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop and maintain staffing rosters in accordance with client needs, service agreements, budgets and award requirements
  • Respond to ad-hoc roster change requests, ensuring amendments are recorded and clearly communicated to stakeholders
  • Proactive responses to problem solve in a reactive scheduling environment to ensure efficient non-disruptive schedule modifications
  • Ensure staff availability patterns are recorded and kept up to date
  • Escalate rostering and staff skill gaps, and work with line managers to identify solutions
  • Build positive relationships through engagement with internal and external stakeholders
  • Comply with all Life Without Barriers policy, code of conduct, procedures and practices, external funding body requirements and legislation.
