JOB SUMMARY:

Under the direct supervision of the Operations Manager, the ROV Pilot/Technician performs a variety of tasks related to reporting and general ROV support for the Robotics and Survey Division. The primary role of this position is to operate and maintain remotely operated vehicles.

Education:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Technical associate’s degree or technical trade school preferred
  • Commercial Driver’s License, or the ability to obtain preferred

Experience:

  • One (1) years’ experience working in electrical, electronic or mechanics
  • One (1) years’ experience operating small inspection class ROV’s
  • Experience with both fiber optic and copper-based systems
  • Proven track record in ROV operations

Skills:

  • Must be able to operate and performance maintenance on small vessels (less than 30 feet), including the ability to tow, launch and recover vessels
  • Highly accountable and able to earn the trust of team members at all levels
  • Honest and operates with a high level of integrity
  • Strong verbal and written communication as well as influencing skills
  • Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced team environment with a commitment to reach goals and meet deadlines
  • Detail-oriented, self-motivated, and well organized
  • Ability to interpret complex data and technical drawings
  • Must be easy going, hardworking, have great communication skills, willing and able to work with clients, and field crews
